The good entertainment isn’t hard to find in Barcelona. To visit different shows could easily give you good craic. El Molino, the windmall at Paral-lel is a lovely place with shows all the time, and we talking about burlesque. If you are happy enough they might bring you up on stage. Look around and there are more places that brings burlesque-shows on like George Payne’s Irish bar.
A weekend in England during a Barcelona Holiday. This little trip come true and just had a thought… what to see if you land at East Midlands. The only thing I come up with was Old Trafford, so I did go there. Had a little walkabout, a beer in the bar and into the red field of Old Trafford. There allways something special with these famous soccerfields, even though they’re empty. You could feel it inside youre body, feel the spirit of a fight, a game and a victory. Old Trafford was definately such a place.
This was one of the most awesome weekends ever. A trip up in the mountains of the pyrenees. If you’re like me, liking adventures and would like to have a kick of adrenaline this was a right thing to do. It all started in the little village of Sort, a beautiful town… just big enough to have a beer or two. The surrounding was amazing and the activities in the area was great. Riding, hiking, cayaks and more..
Day number one of activities started at RocRoi close to Llavorsi. Was thrilled about it and couldn’t waait to just get into the rafting. But first thing was to get into the wet-suite, not the best moment but totally needed in the water. The rafting was as the expectations and I will do it again.
The second day was also thrilling. Canyoning was on the scheduele and it was also a thrilling adventure. But to sum it, I think I wanted a little bit more jumps and higher ones. But totally one of the most awesome weekends to a cost that was low. Good fun!
The area of the Pyrenees are so beautiful. Its also a very big area like the Alps. Two small villages that had good impact to me is Tremp and Sort. Not far from Andorra this villages just was, with its laid back attitude and a peaceful mind. Just to hike in the mountains gives you so much but the area brings you things like white water rafting, hiking, canyoning, riding and much more. During wintertime its of course a place to skii. The area of Espot is very close.
A day trip north of Barcelona could mean that you find some beautiful places in the area of Costa Brava. The little town of Tossa de Mar is wonderful. Two beautiful beaches in the town and the old part with the castle and church. The small streets close to the beach is also wonderful. Take your time at the beach but don’t forget to climb the hill the the old part. You’ll find Tossa de Mar 80km north of Barcelona.
Half a day trip less than an hour outside of Barcelona you’ll find the amazing mountain Montserrat. The mountain is over 1200m over sea level and the road up there gives you a thrill. If you want to you can even take the cable car up. At the top you’ll find the monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. This mountain is different with its shapes. A clear day you’ll see Tibidabo and even Mallorca from here. Well worth the time to go here.
The mountain that Joey from friends talk about to get girls is Tibidabo. The highest mountain in Barcelona with its over 500m over sea level. This gives you wonderful views over the city. You can get here by bus, train and cable car but to drive up gives you even more views. At the top you’ll find the little amusement-park and the church temple de Sagrat Cor. Take your time if you decide to visit Tibidabo and better to be there a sunny day.
The olympic part at Barceloneta is at the north. There are some new sculptures to look at and there is always something on at the beach. A lot of pub at the beach might give you a break. The golden fish reflects from everywhere but looks simple in a close view and the ball might give you ideas of photos.
